Mixing original beats, synths, and samples will be the focus of this workshop, where kids will get hands-on with the latest equipment and jump head first into the world of Music 2.0. Budding DJ? Want to write film music? Enjoy making beeps, blips, and scratches? Then this is the camp for you. Come and see how easy it is to make music your way using GarageBand, iPads, and synthesizers.

I’ll be in Louisville this week at the joint conference of JEN (Jazz Education Network) and TI:ME (Technology Institute for Music Educators). This is the first time these two organizations have partnered up and I’m pretty excited to be there enjoying both some jazz and some technology in the same venue. In particular, there will be a host of technology clinicians from all corners of the country, and I know there will not be enough time (no pun intended) to enjoy them all. Here are a couple of sessions I am presenting:
Confessions of a Music Tech Teacher: Starting a Music Technology Class in your School
Facebook and Social Media: Inside (and Outside) your Classroom
