New, this summer, experience two unique camps at Woods Charter School. Camps are independent of each other – you can take both camps or just one of them:

July 8-12 (Session I) – Zombie Movie-Making Camp

Be a zombie for the summer! Students will turn themselves into zombies through digitally manipulated photos, use stage make-up and costumes to turn into zombies and write and star IN A ZOMBIE MOVIE!!!!!!! Students will receive DVD’s of their movies to keep.

July 15-19 (Session II) – Zombie Soundtrack Camp

Zombies Part II: Following on from the zombie mayhem of the previous week’s Zombie Movie-Making Camp, we will be adding a creepy soundtrack to the original movie. No music skills required but ability to generate scary sounds is a must. Using GarageBand with instruments, microphones, special effects, and using live recording techniques, you will learn how to create your own creepy soundscape to accompany the video. A vivid imagination and a strong stomach are required. Campers will receive a DVD of the finished movie + soundtrack. You can take this camp without having participated in the movie camp the week before.

Both are recommended for campers 11+

New this summer – I am offering an iPad Creativity Camp at Duke School in Durham, NC:

 July 22-26 (Session VI) – ages 9-12

Let your creative side shine!  We’ll spend the week in the digital realm using iPads to create a combination of visual and audio media. Interested in telling a story?  How about shooting a video and adding a soundtrack?  Add some iPad audio apps and create a group performance!
